Job Description


JOB SUMMARY
As a combined Dietary/Housekeeping/Laundry Aide position, required to perform general kitchen duties and food preparation as well as to complete various housekeeping and laundry duties as directed.

EDUCATION
  • Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A current Safe Food Handling Certificate from Public Health.

EXPERIENCE
When performing Dietary Aide duties. – Minimum of six months of related experience and knowledge of kitchen operating procedures and food storage and safekeeping. Ability to read menus. Safety and fire regulation awareness. Must have a clear understanding of Canada’s Food Guide. Must posses the ability to read, write, and communicate in English when performing Dietary Aide duties.

When performing Housekeeping/laundry Aide duties - Minimum of three months experience in a similar setting, and experience in operating and utilizing commercial/institutional equipment and products.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a good attendance record.
  • In accordance with the Corporate Criminal Record Check Policy, the position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted specified

Shift Information


Currently scheduled 8 hours and may be required to work days, evenings and nights including weekends. Must be willing and able to work up to 24 hours per week and declare availability of 32 hours per week.
