We are currently looking for a Mooring Assistant to join the Grangemouth Boatmen Team in Grangemouth. The Mooring Assistant will contribute towards the safe and efficient delivery of mooring services within the Port of Grangemouth.
General duties:
- Mooring and unmooring of ships within the port of Grangemouth
- General maintenance and painting of workboats
- Day to day tracking of ship arrivals and departures
- Operating small workboats
- Refueling of workboats
Experience is not required, as full training will be provided.
Must be reliable and able to work as part of a small team.
This role is physically demanding. All required PPE will be supplied.
Shift pattern - Thursday to Wednesday
7 days, 7 nights followed by 7 days off.
Dayshift 7.15am - 4.30pm on-site
Nightshift 4.30pm - 7.15am. Worked as an on call basis and must be on site within 30mins of being called out. Can return home after duties are completed.
Overtime available
Candidates will go through a port induction before being employed.
1 position available for immediate start.
