An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full-time Waste Management Officer to join our team in Moranbah. Located approximately 200km inland from Mackay, Moranbah is a small mining community that has a strong community focus, and prides itself in its rich history and various recreational activities. Reporting to the Team Leader – Moranbah Waste Facility, this position is responsible for the provision of customer service at the Moranbah Waste Management Facility and for the timely and efficient input of data, and the safe operation of the weighbridge to ensure compliance with environmental license and legislation conditions.

To be successful in this position, you will:
- Have a caring attitude, paired with a positive work ethic and demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team to reach a shared goal.
- Demonstrated customer service and cash handling experience.
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisation skills.
- Experience in and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Construction Card (or willing to obtain).
- Salary $58,372.24 per annum (Stream B Level Three)
- Nominally 76 hours per fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
- Up to 13% super in accordance with Council Policy
