About the role:

We are seeking a proactive and driven individual to join our team as a Business Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the GoodNotes marketplace, driving operational improvements, assisting with content acquisition, and managing strategic partnerships. Additionally, you will be responsible for internal reporting for sales, managing the sales pipeline for the enterprise product, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is initiative-driven and passionate about optimizing business operations.

  • Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the GoodNotes marketplace, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with content acquisition by evaluating and onboarding new suppliers.
  • Liaise and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
  • Generate internal reports for sales, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Manage the sales pipeline for the enterprise product, tracking progress and identifying opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as product development and marketing teams, to implement initiatives and drive business growth.

The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

  • Proven track record of being initiative-driven and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience in category management or related fields, with a solid understanding of marketplace dynamics.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in sales or business development roles.
  • Familiarity with B2B sales processes and strategies.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

The interview process:

  • A one-hour call with our content store product manager, to get a better understanding of your background and suitability for the role
  • A call with your hiring manager. This is the person who will be managing you day to day, working on your growth and development with you as well as supporting you throughout your career at GoodNotes
  • A panel interview with 2-3 GoodPeople you'd be working closely with
